-Hey wait i forgot my shoes.

-No worries mate, you are in Margaret river, lets grab some food and then hit the beach, see what the swell’s up to.

A sliding tail

This brief conversation encompasses in just a few words the lifestyle in this beautifully laid back little town in the far southwest corner of WA.
Hidden in an extraordinary piece of land, somewhere between the vast inland Aussie bush, the thick karri tree forests, the wineries,
and the majestic sunburn coastline that is so very blessed with countless world class breaks,
residents here are passionately attached to nature and seem to have found the true meaning of life.

Everyone walks barefoot, everyone waves and says G’day and, of course, everyone goes surfing. And indeed, the surf culture is so evident here,
that it fully surprises each and every time, us, travelling visitors from an ‘oh so far away’ manipulated hectic and stressful European city environment.

Naturally, job working hours in Margies will ,above all, revolve around swell forecast charts.

Before-surf

Before-surf!

Apré-surf

Apré-surf!

Kids will grab their boards after school and ride their pushbikes down to the break , while
old men with sunburnt faces and long beards will paddle out every single day wearing huge smiles, whatever the conditions.

Here it does not matter what you do, what you drive, what you ride.

You ride what?

There is no false
need for materialism.

Cow-ad fin

Cow-ad fin!

Everyone is here to share the stoke…

Everything is timing

and yes ,there are waves for all !

Double or nothing

Double or nothing!

Perfect ending @ Margarets

The perfect ending at Margarets!

Live Internet streaming is not a new technology. It’s been happening years ago for corporate meetings, seminars, conferences and lots of “talking heads” events.

Sometime ago ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) started live streaming their events from the most extraordinary places in the world giving the opportunity to the community of surfing to reach the events from their offices, houses and even from their mobile phones.

Nowadays, technology has improved, become cheaper and more accessible to many places of the world giving the opportunity to event organizers to deploy live internet streaming in many places in the world!

Recently, and i mean during the 2010, the windsurfing community started experiencing the benefits of live internet streaming in small and big windsurfing events like PWA, EFPT, etc

Watch the clip from the guys at uingroup.com who were the first ones to realize it during last year’s EFPT at Lefkas!

Muscles for Windsurfing...
